IMPORTANT:
Be sure to observe the base pan arrow markings when removing the system board. After the
system board is slid toward the rear past the pan arrow markings, you can then lift the entire
board out of the pan.

Grasp the system board with one hand on the system board handle and the other on the system
board rear side.

Lift the system board out away from the pan.

Install the processor socket protective cover in each processor socket on the damaged system board.
CAUTION:
When removing a system board, always install all processor socket covers to prevent damage to
the processor sockets and system board.
To replace the system board, reverse the removal procedure. To do so, angle and then align the front edge of
the replacement system board with the arrow markings in the pan.
IMPORTANT:
Before attaching the graphics expansion module, set system maintenance switch 9 on the compute
module to the On position. Failure to do so results in an HPE OneView detection failure, and the
expansion module will be inoperable.

Be sure to remove the heatsink dust cover from the new system board, and install it onto the replaced system
board.
After you replace the system board, you must re-enter the compute module serial number and the product ID:
