Configuring Appliance Password and Network Addresses
Verify the type of LAN installation with the customer’s network administrator. If the HAFM
server or equipment cabinet is installed on a dedicated LAN, network information does not
require change. Change the default password for the server’s LCD panel (if required by the
customer), then go to
Configuring Additional Appliance Information
.
If the HAFM appliance is installed on a public LAN segment, change the default password for
the appliance’s LCD panel and the following transmission control protocol/internet protocol
(TCP/IP) network information to conform to the customer’s LAN addressing scheme:
•
IP address.
•
Subnet mask.
Note
At some customer installations, TCP/IP addresses for the appliance may be allocated automatically
using dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP).
