Separating the computer from the column
You must remove the computer from the column before you can service any components other than the hard
drive, memory, and battery. The computer is secured to the column using four Torx screws. One power cable
connects the column to the computer as well.
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly (see
Preparing to disassemble the column on page 77
).
2.
Remove the rear covers from the computer (see
Removing the rear covers from the computer
on page 78
).
3.
Remove the two right screws that secure the computer to the column.
