Remove the baffle from the controller board.
7.
Disconnect the existing Mini-SAS cables from the system board and the drive backplane.

If you intend to use a cache module and a HP Smart Storage Battery, install these options now.

Install the storage controller ("

).
H240 and P440 boards can only be installed in slot 1.
10.
Connect the common end of the Mini-SAS cable to the controller option.

Install the secondary PCI riser cage ("

12.
Route the Mini-SAS cables alongside the system board and connect the connectors to the drive
backplane.
