Raise the left end of the heatsink and lift it out of the unit.
Caution
Do not spin the fan blades with your finger, or you could damage the fan’s bearings.
Reassembly Notes
Caution
Whenever you remove and reinstall the heatsink, you must also replace the heatsink’s thermal pad
to maintain optimum heat transfer. Use a sharp knife or scraper to carefully remove the old thermal
pad from the heatsink, then attach the new thermal pad.
•
Install the heatsink screws in this order:
1.
Install all five screws lightly.
2.
Tighten the three screws around the CPU.
3.
Tighten the two remaining screws.
