(Set) Password
You may change or initially set a password to protect access to your mailbox with the
“
PASSWORD
” selection under the Options menu. Once a password is set, any attempt to
gain access to your mailbox (when NetMail/3000 is run) will result in the user being prompted to
enter the appropriate password. If the correct password is not supplied, access to the mail system
will not be granted.
Passwords can be any combination of letters, numbers, and special characters with upper
and lowercase letters allowed and preserved up to 8 characters long. When you select the “PASS-
WORD” entry under the Options menu, the password (if there is one set) will not display. To
remove your password, hit “RETURN” to accept the blanked password (be sure to hit the “CAN-
CEL” (f8) key if you don’t want to erase your password).
