Destroy (Folder)
You can destroy (delete) an empty mail folder with the “DESTROY” command. If you
have mail folders which you no longer need, you can delete them with the “DESTROY” com-
mand. The folder must exist and must be empty -- it cannot have any messages filed in it or it will
not be deleted. All created folders use some disc space, so it helps all if unused folders are
removed when they’re no longer needed. (Note that you cannot delete the system folder
“INBOX”.)
When you select the “DESTROY” option under the folders menu, you will be presented
with a list of your mail folders and their descriptions, and you can use the arrow keys to select the
folder you want to delete. When you have the appropriate record highlighted, hit “RETURN” to
delete it. If you decide you don’t want to delete a folder after all, use the “CANCEL” (f8) key.
