Cabling Guidelines
NOTE:
Both SCSI channels are self-terminating. If you choose to not use one or both of the
SCSI channels, you do not need to terminate the unused channel(s).
Installing an Internal-to-External SCSI Connector
If you are not using one or both SCSI channels (primary or secondary) internally or
you install a SCSI or SmartArray option card, you may install an internal-to-external
SCSI connector (HP Part Number 159547-B22) in the SCSI knockout locations on
the rear of the chassis. To install an internal-to-external SCSI connector, perform the
following steps:
1.
Using a Torx T-15 screwdriver, remove the screw holding the SCSI knockout
cover plate (1), and then remove the cover plate (2).
2.
Insert the SCSI connector into the open area (3). Secure the external SCSI
connector to the chassis using the screws provided with the external SCSI
connector option kit (4).
