Setting the Alarm
You can use iPod as an alarm clock.
To set an alarm:

Select Extras > Clock > Alarm Clock.

Set Alarm to On.

Select a sound.
If you select Beep, the alarm is audible through the internal speaker. If you select
a playlist, you’ll need to connect iPod to speakers or headphones to hear the
alarm.
Importing Addresses, Phone Numbers, and Calendar
Events
If your calendar and contact manager software supports dragging and dropping
of vcard and vcal files, you can drag and drop contacts and calendar events into
iPod’s contacts and calendar folders.
Note:
Microsoft Outlook does not support this feature. There are third party
applications that allow you to export contact and calendar events to your iPod.
Storing and Reading Notes and Other Information
You can store and read text notes on iPod. iPod must be enabled as a hard disk
(see page 49).

Save a document in any word-processing application as a text (.txt) file.

Place the file in the Notes folder on iPod.
To view notes:

Select Extras > Notes.
