Component Power Requirements
Theoretical Maximum Power is the sum of the worst case power consumption of every subsystem in the box
and allows for possible future subsystems not currently available or planned. Theoretical Maximum Power
should be used to size worst case power consumption for facility installation. Typical power consumption
numbers are what HP engineers have measured running power intensive applications. These are generally
lower than maximum power numbers due to the fact that getting all of the subsystems in the box to
simultaneously draw maximum power for long durations is uncommon.
