Replacement Procedures for BA370 Enclosure Elements

Disabling the External Cache Batteries (ECBs)

Use the following steps to disable the ECBs.

NOTE:  An ECB might contain one or two batteries, depending on the configuration (single ECB 
or dual ECB).

1. Press and hold the battery disable switch (labeled SHUT OFF, see Figure 3–2) on 

the ECB for approximately 5 seconds.
