Installing the CD-ROM drive assembly 

  CAUTION:  To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, 

do not operate the server unless all bays are populated with either a 
component or a blank.  

NOTE:  The server supports slimline optical devices, including CD-ROM 
and DVD-ROM.

Remove the fan assembly ("Removing the fan assembly" on page

Remove the optical drive assembly by loosening the thumbscrew and sliding
