To rename the NETAMD.INF file
, follow the instructions given below
:

In My Computer or Windows Explorer, open the folder where you installed
Windows 95 (the default is
Windows
).

In the
View
menu, click
Options
.

Click the
View
tab, and then click
Show All Files
.

If you want to see all file name extensions, make sure the
Hide MS-DOS File
Extensions
box is not checked.

Open the
Inf
folder.

Select the NETAMD.INF file and rename it to NETAMD.OLD.
You can now install the NDIS drivers for Windows 95 as described in the following
subsections.
Installing the NDIS 2.01 and NDIS 3.1 Drivers for Windows 95
To install the PCnet NDIS 2.01 and/or NDIS 3.1 drivers, follow the instructions given
below:

From the Settings menu, start the Control Panel.

To run the Network configuration utility, double click on the Network icon.

If a driver for the HP Ethernet Family adapter is already installed, select it and
then remove it by clicking on the
Remove
button.

Click on the
Add
button.

In the Select Network Component Type window, choose
Adapter
then click on
the
Add
button.

To install the driver provided on the LAN Disk, click on the
Have Disk
button.

In the
Install from disk
window, specify the drive letter and path for the files
on the LAN Disk. For example:
A:\WIN95\
Then select
OK
.
