Setting Up the Network Connection
This chapter describes how to set up the network connection and your HP Ethernet
Family Adapter, the procedure to make a LAN Disk, and how to run the diagnostics
utility.
To setup the network connection:
•
Connect the LAN cable to the PC as described in the User's Guide supplied with
your PC.
•
Check the configuration of the interface before installing the LAN drivers.
NOTE HP LAN drivers are supported on HP PCs only.
How to find your PC’s MAC Address
To find your PC’s MAC address:

Shut down your operating system and reset your PC.
•
When the <Setup=F2> message appears on your screen, press the key.
•
The HP Summary Screen is displayed. The Summary Screen is displayed for only
a short time. To retain the screen indefinitely (until you decide to leave it), press
