RAM Board Memory Installation Requirements
RAM b oards m ust b e installed meeting these requiremen ts:
Boards m ust b e installed in pairs; eac h b oard in the pair m ust b e the same
size.
Slots 0A and 0B m ust ha v e the largest size RAM b oard pair.
Slots 1A and 1B b oards m ust b e equal to, or smaller than b oards in slots 0A
and 0B.
Slots 2A and 2B b oards m ust b e equal to, or smaller than b oards in slots 1A
and 1B.
Eac h higher n um b ered slot pair m ust b e equal to or smaller than RAM
b oards in the previous, low er n um b ered slot pair.
Supported Memory Configurations
T able 9-1 lists all supp orted RAM b oard congurations for HP 9000 Series 400
computers that use HP 98229B-E RAM b oards.
Y our computer has one of these congurations whic h can b e upgraded to an
appropriate larger conguration.
