Maintenance
Maintenance
6.
Caution!
Missing or faulty cleaning and main-
tenance may cause damage to the in-
stallation.
The heating installation must be sur-
•
veyed and cleaned once a year.
If required, installation maintenance
•
must be carried out. Defects must
be remedied immediately in order to
prevent damages to the installation!
Caution!
After repair work respectively ex-
chang ing boiler parts, a flue gas meas-
urement according to chapter 4.3.7
must be carried out imperatively.
Water-side leak check
6.1
Tighten the threated union on the water-side whilst
the boiler is still at a high temperature.
Refilling
6.2
Water must be refilled, if the water pressure falls below
the set flow pressure. Then allow the heating water
to cool, bleed the filling hose and refill via the filling
and draining cock.
Maintenance includes:
6.3
Cleaning the flue gas heat exchanger and conden-
-
sate collector
Checking the burner
-
Checking the ignition electrode, distance from
-
burner approx. 4-5 mm, set position correctly
where necessary or replace
Flue gas measuring according to chapter 4.3.7
-
Cleaning the heat exchanger
6.4
Disconnect the boiler from the electrical supply
-
(pull out the plug)
Close the gas appliance cock
-
Remove the front boiler panel (open the control flap
-
lid, push the front cover upwards and pull out)
Unscrew the threaded of the supply pipeline to the
-
gas solenoid valve (picture 6.4.1, see next page)
Detach the screw mounted burner plate (picture
-
6.4.1)
Disconnect the electrical connections to the gas
-
solenoid valve
Pull off the fan connector plug
-
Remove the burner plate and bat-wing burners
-
(picture 6.4.2, see next page)
Wet clean the heat exchanger (do not use steel
-
wire brushes) (picture 6.4.3, see next page)
Clean siphon (picture 6.4.4 and 6.4.5, below)
-
- Loosen siphon at coupling and remove from boil-
er.
- Rinse siphon.
- Check if siphon sealing gasket (picture 6.4.5

)
is not damaged, replace if necessary.
Flue gas measuring according to chapter 4.3.7
-
Caution: poisoning!
If siphon is not filled with water or if it
is contaminated or obstructed by con-
tamination, leaking flue gas may put
people in danger of life.
Before reinserting the siphon, it must
•
be filled with water.
After cleaning, assemble in reverse order. The entire
gas way / gas route tightness check up (with leak
detection spray) is necessary after the assembly.
Function check
6.5
Set the gas boiler according to chapter 4.3.2
-
Check all gas boiler connections for leaks
-
Check the system pressure, replenish where nec-
-
essary (at least 1,5 bar)
Bleed the gas boiler
-
Complete the test record sheet
-
Siphon is fixed un-
derneath the boiler!
