The module also controls the heater, this has an upper and lower element, the lower (static) element is
permanently energised (except in cool tumble) and the upper element (dynamic) is cycled on and off
by the control module during a programme to maintain the correct temperature within the drum for the
programme selected.
If the user turns off the power or disconnects the mains cable or there is a power cut, the dryer will
remember its last settings and resume the program when the start button is pressed.
The start of a programme can be delayed up to a maximum of 18 hours in 1 hour increments
Pre crease care can only be selected if a timed delay has been selected; this option tumbles the
clothes for 3 seconds every 30 minutes for the duration of the time delay.
If selected the Post crease care option tumbles the clothes after the programme has finished for
3 seconds every 4 minutes up to a maximum duration of 10 hours.
If the event of a controls failure, a cycling thermostat and one-shot thermostat are fitted as a safety
devices.
The cycling thermostat resets when the air temperature drops to an acceptable level, and cycles if the
fault persists or the air temperature reaches an unsafe level a second 'one shot' thermostat, mounted
alongside cycling thermostat, is fitted as a safety device to break the element neutral connection.
