Troubleshooting
If the receiving tray full detect sensor is covered with paper dust, the machine may detect receiving tray full error even
though the tray is not full. When the receiving tray full icon appears, the collating operation cannot be started.
(The receiving tray full detect sensor is not installed in the QC-S300F.)
Frequency: Clean when you notice a problem.
Turn off the power switch
• Turn off the main power switch on the QC-S300 and
unplug the power cord.
Clean the receiving tray full detect sensor
on the rear of the machine.
• Clean the receiving tray full detect sensor on the
rear using a brush or compressed air.
• The sensors work together. First, clean just the rear
sensor. The lens of the sensor is located behind the
hole.
• If the same symptom occurs again during collat-
ing, go to the next step and also clean the sensor
on the front of the machine.
Clean the receiving tray full detect sensor
on the front of the machine.
• Remove any paper dust on the sensor by blowing
compressed air through the sensor hole in the
frame of the machine.
