This section explains how to use the tab insertion function and preset stop function together. In this example, we will insert
a tab sheet after every 5 sets (=1 block), and stop collating when 10 blocks of sets are complete, making 50 collated sets.
Prepare for the collating operation with the
preset tab insertion function.
(1) Load sheets in order, starting with the lowest bin.
(2) Load the tab sheets in the top bin.
(3) Set the receiving tray to match the sheet size.
(4) Turn on the main power switch. The machine displays
the Initial screen.
Press the upper tab on the screen.
• The screen on the LCD display changes.
Turn on the tab insertion function.
• Now you can use the tab insertion function.
Press the upper numeric key icon.
• Press the upper numeric key icon. Using the Numeric
Keypad screen, enter the number of collated sets
between the tab sheets.
Example: Enter “5” using the Numeric Keypad
screen.
• The machine will insert tab sheets after each group of
five collated sets.
Press "Ent" (Enter).
• The preset count appears on the Initial screen.
• If the main power is turned off, the stored number is
cleared.
