When the second calibration is finished, take out the
electrode from the solution for calibration.

Rinse the electrode with pure water.
Make sure that the membrane part has been
well rinsed with pure water.

Wipe off the moisture.
Wipe off the moisture using soft and clean lint-free paper or cloth.
Check that slope is at least 80%.
If the slope is less than 80%, the measurement may not be
performed accurately.
The possible causes of calibration failure are:
Membrane is dirty or broken
Change in the internal solution concentration
Change in composition and concentration of the
standard solution
Bubble inside the membrane cap
Refer to “When accurate measurement is not possible”
(
page 48) to resolve the cause and perform the
calibration again.
When disposing of the standard solution, and paper or cloth
soaked in the standard solution, follow the local rules and
regulations.
