Power Drive feature

Note: The Power Drive feature will operate only when the motor is

turned on.

The Power Drive feature moves the cleaner forward and backward at a
variable rate of speed controlled entirely by you.

To move forward

Push the handle grip forward and guide the cleaner in front of you. Notice

that the cleaner moves in a forward direction with little effort.

To move backward

Gently pull the handle grip and guide the cleaner toward you. For best

results guide the cleaner gently at first until you have adjusted to the ease

of operating the cleaner.

For increased control of the
Power Drive feature in tight
places such as around and under

furniture, set the cleaner switch

on the LOW speed setting, or
depress the manual operation
button to disengage-the power
drive mechinism.

Manual operation button

For cleaning and maneuvering without the Power Drive feature, use the
Manual Operation Button, located on top of the handle grip. Press the

button and slide the handle grip up or down the handle until the button
drops flush with the handle grip. Keep button depressed to keep the
power drive mechinism disengaged.
