4. Gently pull the bottom housing away from the unit at the scan engine end as shown.
5. Rotate the bottom housing away from the rest of the unit exposing the I/O flex cable as shown.
6. Remove the foam pad that is on top of the flex connector latch (Kapton tape for CN70E).
7. Open the flex connector latch and slide the I/O flex cable out of the connector.
Installation
Installation of the bottom housing is reverse order of removal.
1. Insert the I/O flex cable into the connector and close the latch.
2. On a CN70A Install the foam pad over the latch. On a CN70E install a piece of Kapton tape over the latch.
3. Position the bottom housing over the top housing and push it down seating it into the overmolded seal around the
edge of the top housing.
NOTE: Inspect the top housing seal for any damage. Replace the top housing assembly as needed.
4. Install 8 screws (10 for a CN70E) with a torque driver set to 6.0+/-0.2 in-lb. Use new screws and torque down per
the following pattern.
5. Re-install trim plugs over screw at each side of battery compartment.
6. If this is a new bottom housing the appropriate camera windows and camera window overlay will need to be
installed. Refer to the Camera Windows operation.
7. If this is a new bottom housing new product labeling will also need to be applied. Refer to the Labeling operation.
