B. Interface Circuit Card
The Interface card provides several key functions both internal and external to the transmitter unit
(TU).
(1)
Externally, the card provides the interface between the AIM or NAIM and the TU, between
the remote panel and TU, and between the Aircraft and TU.
(2)
Internally the interface card provides the control and data lines to the EEPROM on the RF
Module and provides control of the +10.0
V dc power to the RF Module.
C. Power Circuit Card
The power card receives battery power directly from the battery pack and regulates this voltage to
10.0 V dc before feeding the RF Module and the Interface card directly. The power card also
regulates the battery voltage to +5 V dc and feeds this to the Interface card. The two G-switches
and the associated circuitry for selecting one of the G-switches are also located on the power card.
D. Battery Pack
The battery pack consists of five lithium-manganese-dioxide batteries connected in series to
provide an approximate voltage of 13 to 14 V at the beginning of the battery lifetime.
