Wheel & Tyre Replacement

The tyres that came on your motorcycle 
were designed to match the performance 
capabilities of your motorcycle and provide 
the best combination of handling, braking, 
durability and comfort.

Used tyres should not be installed if the 

previous usage record is unknown.

The recommended tyres for your 

motorcycle are:

Front: 

CRF125F: 70/100-17M/C 40M
CRF125FB: 70/100-19M/C 42M

Rear:  

 

CRF125F: 90/100-14M/C 49M
CRF125FB: 90/100-16M/C 51M

Type: 

 bias-ply, tube

The recommended wheels for your 

motorcycle are:

Front: 

CRF125F: 17 × 1.4
CRF125FB: 19 × 1.4

Rear:  

 

CRF125F: 14 × 1.85
CRF125FB: 16 × 1.85

Whenever you replace a tyre, use one that is 

equivalent to the original and be sure the 

wheel is balanced after the new tyre is 

installed.

Also remember to replace the inner tube 

whenever you replace a tyre. The old tube 

will probably be stretched, and if installed in 

a new tyre, it could fail.

Installing improper tyres on your 

motorcycle can affect handling and 

stability. This can cause a crash in 

which you can be seriously hurt or 

killed.

Always use the size and type of tyres 

recommended in this owner’s manual.
