Please read this entire section before starting the teach-in
procedure and installation of the device!
If several Homematic Wireless Smoke Alarms are used, they
should be taught-in to each other before installation.
6.1 Teaching-in
A wireless network is formed by teaching-in two or more wireless smoke
alarms to one another. If one wireless smoke alarm in the network emits
a smoke alarm, this is automatically indicated to all the other wireless
smoke alarms with the same group address in that network. Thus, you
will be warned if a fire alarm is detected in a room of the house.
To integrate the Homematic Wireless Smoke Alarm into your Homematic
system and enable it to communicate with other Homematic Wireless
Smoke Alarms and/or the Homematic Central Control Unit, you must
teach it in first.
6.1.1 Teaching-in wireless smoke alarms to one another
The first two wireless smoke alarms in a group define the group address.
Each additional wireless smoke alarm can be taught-in to any other
wireless smoke alarm of the system and automatically receives the pre-
defined group address.
Each wireless smoke alarm must be enabled to reach every
single wireless smoke alarm or the Central Control Unit within
one system!
During teach-in, please make sure you maintain a distance of at
least one meter between the devices.
