2.7 Safety equipment
Motor protection switch
In the motor of the panel there is a thermal protection
switch which automatically shuts off the motor in case of
thermal overload.
After eliminating the cause of the overload and waiting
for the engine to cool down completely, the engine can
be restarted.
The cover circuit breaker is located under the inner
cover, which must be removed when replacing the saw
blade. If the cover is not mounted, the switch prevents
the engine from starting.

If necessary, the workpiece kickback guard can be
mounted on the sliding carriage to prevent the workpiece
from being knocked back.
3 Intended use
The panel saw FKS 250-1300 is used for sawing with
versatile adjustable angles of boards and strips. The
processing of solid wood, chipboard, panels and profiles
is possible. In compliance with the safety instructions,
the conditions of use for the saw blade used must be ob
-
served. Firewood must not be processed.
The machine must be operated with a suitable extraction
system.
It is suitable for private use, not for industrial use.
The machine is designed as a circular saw. It is equip
-
ped with a single saw blade, which is fixed during the
cutting process.
The machine has the following main features:
- The saw blade can be raised and lowered through
the table.
- The saw blade can be tilted for angle cutting.
- The machine has an additional, manually operated
sliding table.
Proper use also includes compliance with all information
in this manual. Any use beyond the intended use or
otherwise is considered misuse.
For structural and technical changes on the panel saw the
company Stürmer Maschinen GmbH assumes no liability.
Claims of any kind due to damage due to improper use are
excluded.
