Introduction :

Thank you for buying our compass system Type 11-B.
By reading this manual you will become some what more
informed with the installation and operation of this compass.

The compass system Type11-B comprises 5 parts :

    1. The sensor (MC2/MC4/MC5)
    2. The repeater Type 11-B (DIN192/DIN144)
    3. The electronic unit IN11-B
    4. Mounting bracket for the sensor
    5. 3 m. cable for repeater connection

The Type 11-B compass system can be used for remote reading of
a magnetic compass system, as well as a stand alone compass
system, depending on what type of sensor is applied.
When the sensor type MC4 is applied it is a T.M.C. system
(Transmitting Magnetic Compass). This compass system is
applied in situations were it is not possible or it is not prefered to
read a magnetic compass directly.
When the sensor type MC5 is applied it is a stand alone compass
system for see going vessels in a restricted area within 30 miles.
Outside this area it is permitted to apply the system as an extra
compass system.
The sensor type MC2 is applied on yachts and (small) professional
vessels for inland shipping. The main and only difference between
the sensors MC2 and MC5 sensor is that the MC5 has an extra coil
to compensate the vertical field of the ship.
Mounting instructions for all sensor are included in this manual.

The Type 11-B compass system complies to the MED/96/98/EC
(see declaration of conformity on page 17).
