Water pump will not prime or sputters
(No discharge/motor runs):
Is the pump inlet strainer clogged with
z
debris?
Is there water in the tank or has air
z
collected in the water heater?
Is the inlet tubing and plumbing
z
sucking in air at plumbing connections
(vacuum leak)?
Check for proper voltage with the
z
pump operating.
Check the pump housing for cracks or
z
loose drive assembly screws.
Water pump will not shut-off or continues
to run when the faucet is closed:
Check to see if the fresh water/tank fill
z
valve is completely closed.
Check the output (pressure) side
z
plumbing for leaks and inspect for a
leaky toilet or valves.
Look for a loose drive assembly or
z
pump head screws.
Water pump is noisy or rough in
operation:
Check for plumbing that may have
z
vibrated loose.
Does the mounting surface multiply
z
noise (flexible)?
Check for mounting feet that are loose
z
or compressed too tight.
Look for loose pump head to motor
z
screws.
Water pump is rapid cycling:
Look for restrictive water flow in the
z
faucets or shower heads.
Faucet Screens
Quality of fresh water will vary by location.
A build up of lime deposit or debris on the
faucet screens may restrict or plug the flow
of water coming from the faucets or shower
heads. All faucet screens should be checked
and once a month or as necessary when flow is
reduced.
Faucet screens are normally located on
z
the outlet side of the faucet and held in
place with a threaded collar.
Remove screen from faucet.
z
Clean screen using a small, soft brush
z
and de-liming solution.
Reinstall screen and check water flow.
z
WATER FILTER
A whole house water filter is located in a
curbside compartment. Change the water filter
after 1,000 gallons of use or sooner if water
flow is noticeably reduced.

CAUTION:
Protect filter from freezing or damage
to the system could occur.
Filter Removal:
Turn off the water supply and the water
z
pump.
Open faucets to bleed off pressure.
z
Unscrew the filter bowl using the bowl
z
wrench.
Check O-ring for damage and lubricate
z
if necessary. O-ring should be replaced
every third cartridge change to ensure
proper sealing.
Remove the old cartridge and discard.
z
Empty any remaining water in the
z
bowl.
