Advice for temperature measuring
•
The thermometer is equipped with a waterproof probe, which excludes
the necessity of using a protective probe cover.
•
Keep the probe clean. Avoid accumulation of ear wax, tear drops or oils,
as they might influence the results of the infrared measuring.
•
Do not determine your temperature within half an hour after a meal,
physical exercise or a bath.
•
Please leave an interval of one minute between consecutive
measurements. When measuring temperature often or within a short
period of time, results may vary slightly. In this case take the mean
value for orientation.
•
Human body temperature changes within a naturally given scale. There
is no absolutely set value for standard body temperature.
•
Please take notes about your body temperature on regular days to
better determine your febrile values.
•
In the event that environmental temperature conditions are outside the
allowance of 16°C - 40°C the display will show „Err“ when measuring
the environmental temperature.
Care and cleaning
The probe is the most delicate part of the device. It has to be kept clean and
intact in order to warrant exact measurements.
The probe is waterproof and may be cleaned by either immersing into alcohol
or cleaning with a cotton pad impregnated with alcohol. The body and the
display of the thermometer are not waterproof. Do not immerse into liquids,
but clean with a soft clean cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
Store the thermometer at a dustfree, dry location and keep away from direct
sunlight. The temperature at the storage location should be in the range of
10°C to 40 °C.
