Measuring body temperature
In order to switch from measuring at the forehead to measuring in the ear
simply remove the plastic cover. To return to forehead measuring mode
reapply the cover.
Caution
It is recommended to measure temperature at the forehead just for control,
as the skin temperature is prone to outer influence and the result may be
false.
Measuring of body temperature in the ear
For measuring temperature in the ear remove the tip cover and press the
power/scan button. In case of display of time and environmental temperature
press the power/scan button again. The latest temperature determination is
shown (see picture). When the symbol for ear measurement is displayed the
device is ready for use. Now press the power/scan button again and when the
symbol for ongoing measurement is displayed insert the probe into the ear.
After a few seconds the body temperature is displayed. Hold the device
steady while measuring. After the measuring the device automatically returns
to the time/environmental temperature mode.
