4. If the HIT-4 is not connected or the PC serial port is not
configured correctly, the following message will appear in
the Communication Log window on the right side of the
screen:
>HH:MM:SS AM OR PM: The PortName cannot be
empty. Parameter name: PortName
Shut down the software, connect the HIT-4 to the PC and
launch the HIT-4 Communication Program software.
5. If only the USB to Serial cable is attached to the PC, when
the “Connect” button is clicked the following error will
occur:
Click “OK”; connect HIT-4 to the USB to serial cable,
click on the “Disconnect” and click “Connect”.
6. When communication is established with HIT-4 the
Connecting to device widow will appear:
Click “Yes” to read HIT-4 configuration information.
Once the configuration has been successfully read, the
following window will pop-up:
