To reconnect the iron to its base, make sure that the base attachment/release
lock is set on the unlocked padlock icon, then place the iron on the base.

Next, move the base lock towards the locked padlock icon, so as to secure the
iron to its base.
5. When the iron has been attached to the recharging base and secured by locking,
connect the iron to the power outlet and set the temperature control knob to the
required heating position.
CAUTION!
When the iron is removed from the base, it will start to cool down
gradually. A cordless iron can only accumulate heat – it cannot generate heat
when taken off its base, because it has no means (such as batteries) to do so.
7.4 OPERATION
If you want to steam iron, fill the water reservoir as described in section 7.2
FILLING THE WATER RESERVOIR before you turn the iron on.
Water may remain in the reservoir when dry ironing.
In order for the iron to start heating up and the iron heating indicator light to
turn on, the temperature control knob must be set at least to the
„ synthetic”
position..
CAUTION!
Water leaking out of the iron soleplate in the course of steam
ironing means that the device has not heated up sufficiently. The temperature
control knob must be set to a higher value. The iron will start giving off steam
when the device reaches the required temperature.
