Thermal Print Head (TPH)
is the key component for a dye-sub printer.
Main Board
Note:
Main Board = Mother board
The ASIC is an IC (Integrated Chip) located on the Main Board. The ASIC drives the USB controller, controls the
embedded SDRAM, MCU I/F, USB I/F, memory I/F, and GIO interface. TPH thermal controls are also addressed by ASIC.
The Main Board is also the control center for all optional modules.
