Detaching the battery (when disposing of the vacuum cleaner)
Prepare the following tools to remove the battery and correctly follow the procedure.
Tools required:
Phillips-head screwdriver, wire cutter, vinyl tape

Use the vacuum cleaner until the battery is completely flat and
the vacuum cleaner can no longer operate.
WARNING
Risk of electric shock or injury
If the battery is not completely flat, the motor might start running while the
battery is being removed.

Detach the handy cleaner (P.E-12) and remove the dust case.

Detach the battery (when disposing of the vacuum cleaner).
Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, re-
move one screw securing the battery.

Pull out the battery, cut the red lead wire connect-
ing the battery to the vacuum cleaner approximate-
ly 20mm away from the battery using a wire cutter,
and insulate it by wrapping it with vinyl tape.

Cut the remaining lead wires approxi-
mately 20mm away from the battery one
at a time using a wire cutter, and insu-
late them one by one by wrapping them
with vinyl tape.

WARNING
There is a risk of fire, electric
shock, or injury.
Do not press the control buttons when
detaching the battery. Otherwise, the
motor will get started.
Cut the lead wires one at a time and
then wrap each wire with vinyl tape.
Keep the battery away from children.
Failure to do so might cause an electric
shock or injury.
