Charging the vacuum cleaner

Charge the battery before using the vacuum cleaner. The battery is not fully charged at the time of purchase.
It generally takes about four hours to charge the battery. (It might take longer to charge the battery de-
pending on factors such as the ambient temperature and how long the vacuum cleaner was in use.)

1

Insert the plug of the charging
station into the outlet.

Hold the plug

WARNING

Do not use the charging station other than the charging
station that was included with the vacuum cleaner.

Failure to heed this warning might cause elec-
tric shock, injury, or malfunction.

CAUTION

Risk of electric shock or fire.

Do not insert the plug into the out-

let while the power cord is wound

around the charging station.

2

Set the stick cleaner on the charging station

CAUTION

Risk of injury or damage to the floor.

Be sure to attach the power head when setting the
stick cleaner on the charging station.

Insert the attachment groove of the stick cleaner

into the protrusion of the charging station.

The battery indicator turns on when the stick

cleaner is set on the charging station.

If the battery indicator does not turn on, set the stick

cleaner again so that there is no gap between the stick
cleaner and the stand of the charging station.
If there is a gap between them, the battery might
not have been properly charged.

When the battery is fully charged, the battery indicator turns off.

CAUTION

Risk of damage to the floor

Place the charging station on a level floor surface.

Do not drag the charging station or vacuum cleaner when it is on a level surface.

When it is used for the first time or when it is not used for several days,

The operating time might become shorter or the charging time might become longer.

We recommend that you recharge the battery before use.

Be sure to charge the battery with the handy cleaner attached to the stick cleaner.

When the battery indicator is turned off (charging completed), if you remove the stick cleaner from the

charging station and replace it immediately, or if you remove the handy cleaner from the stick cleaner and

replace it immediately, the battery indicator turns on (charging in progress), which is not a malfunction.

The vacuum cleaner or charging station becomes warm while charging. This is not a malfunction.

If you press the control buttons during charging, the vacuum cleaner will not operate.

When charging the battery, make sure the ambient temperature is between 5˚C to 34˚C. Charging the battery in

temperatures outside of this range might prevent the battery from being fully charged. As a result, the battery

might take a long time to charge, or you might only be able to use the vacuum cleaner for a short time.

If you charge the battery in a hot or cold area for 3 hours or more, the battery indicator will blink rapidly (estimated

twice per second). In this case, recharge it in place with an ambient temperature between 5˚C to 34˚C.

If the battery indicator does not turn on or if it goes off immediately, remove the stick cleaner from the

charging station and place it back into the charging station.

Charging the battery near a radio might cause noise and make the radio broadcast difficult to hear.

Insert the charging station into the outlet two meters or more away from the radio and charge the vacuum cleaner.
