Mounting orientation of the Shift Arm
3. Reassembly of the deceleration mechanism
(1) Apply appropriate amounts of grease (Hitachi Motor Grease No. 29) to the engaging surfaces of gears
and the Ring Gear [12] surface that contacts Steel Ball D5 [10] .
(2) Fit Steel Ball D5 [10] , Ring Gear [12] , Carrier [13] , Planet Gear (C) Set [18] , and all other parts
sequentially into Gear Case [9] as shown in the figure below.

Be careful to correctly orient Ring Gear [12] , Carrier [13] , Pinion (C) [15] , Slide Ring Gear [20] , Shift
Arm [11] , and Pinion (B) [22] as shown in the figure below. Do not fail to fit Washer (C) [21] .

Make sure that two Needles [16] are inserted between Washer (B) [14] and First Ring Gear [24] .
