10Base2 (ThinWire) BNC
To connect the printer within a segment of the cable:
1.
Use a BNC T-adapter to connect to the Ethernet cable connector.
2.
Attach the BNC T-adapter to the Coax BNC connector on the back of
the printer.
To connect the printer to the end of a cable segment:
1.
Connect the Ethernet cable connector to one end of a BNC T-adapter.
Make sure that both ends of the network cable are terminated with
50 ohm terminators.
2.
Attach the BNC T-adapter to the Coax BNC connector on the back of
the printer.
RJ45 Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP)
Attach one end of the twisted-pair cable to the RJ45 wall outlet, adapter
(DB15), or other 10BaseT Ethernet source.
For complete communications between the Network Series Print Server
and the host or a network hub, the link test state (enabled or disabled) must
be set the same on both. The Network Series Print Server is always set
enabled.
