Connecting Ethernet Cables
The optional Ethernet interface can be connected to the network using one
of the two I/O connector types:

BNC ThinWire (10Base2)
■
RJ45 UTP twisted pair (10BaseT)
The Ethernet interface has an RJ12 serial management port connector that
can be used to print or display status and error messages. The required
cable is not included with the printer. An RJ12 to serial cabling diagram is
shown in your Print Server Module (PSM) Virtual Printer Technology
User’s Guide.
CAUTION
!
Do not use the BNC and RJ45 connectors at the same time. This
will cause damage to the interface.
