NOTE
For batteries (battery blocks)
installed in parallel, these must be
separated and then each tested
independently of the others, other-
wise a false measurement result
will be output. It is imperative to
disconnect the negative pole in this
case.
3.4 Battery test
After starting the battery test programme,
the model designation and version are ini-
tially displayed for approx. 2 seconds.

The current date and time are displayed in
the lower area of the screen.
These can be set and/or corrected if required
(see Section "Basic settings").
The display then automatically switches to
the next screen with the following selection
option.
3.4.1 Select test
Use the Up and Down buttons to select the
location of the battery (battery in the vehicle
or battery outside of the vehicle). Confirm
the selection with the OK button.
In-vehicle
means that the battery is installed
in the vehicle and connected to the vehicle
electrical system.

IN-VEHICLE
Out-of-vehicle
means that the battery has
been removed and is not connected to the
vehicle electrical system.

OUT-OF-VEHICLE
In certain cases (e.g. if the test is performed
shortly after switching off the engine), the
message "Surface charge, turn lights on"
may be displayed.
SURFACE CHARGE
DETECTED
TURN LIGHTS ON
Switch on the low beams to eliminate the
surface charge. The message "Headlights
on" is initially displayed.
