3.1.2 Start screen
Press the Power button to switch on the ap-
pliance. The following start screen appears.

NOTE
In the lower left area of the start
screen, the current state of the in-
ternal 9 V block battery is displayed
.
Replace the battery promptly if
required in order to prevent the
appliance functions from being
impaired.
The voltage which is present at the battery
pole pliers is displayed in the lower cen-
tral area of the start screen. The "voltmeter
function" is activated by default and can be
deactivated if required (see Section "Basic
settings").
If the voltmeter display is activated,
the start
screen will continue to be displayed and will
not be skipped until the OK button (for the
battery test) or the Menu button (for the Set-
tings menu) are pressed.
If the voltmeter display is deactivated,
the
start screen (see Fig. 6) is displayed for 2 sec-
onds and then automatically skips forward
to the battery test. Press the Menu button
within 2 seconds if you wish to open the Set-
tings menu.

CAUTION
The measuring range of the volt-
meter is 1-30 VDC.
A higher voltage than this would
destroy the appliance.
3.2 Basic settings
Press the Menu button (see Section "Start
screen") to proceed to the selection of the
individual options.
3.2.1 View results
Using this option, the last test result can be
displayed by pressing the OK button.
