3. Battery
The battery that powers the motor is an external
bottle shaped battery placed on the rear side of
the e-bike’s seat post. It is a Li-ion battery with
Panasonic NCR Series 18650 cells and BMS battery
management system. As at the date of this Manual it
is the highest energy density battery on the market.
The battery can be charged ≥500 times thanks to its
protection functions for undervoltage, overcurrent,
short circuit and over voltage. The battery’s charge
status can be monitored on the smartphone app,
which is used to set and control the motor. For more
information about the app please see chapter 4.
Battery components
The battery comes in a polished stainless steel casing
with a black ADS reinforced carbon fibre cap. The
cap has a handle placed asymmetrically to one side.
The handle can be convenient when the battery is
detached from the e-bike and you need to carry it.
The handle can also be used to fix a wire lock to
secure the battery from theft when the e-bike is not in
use.
A strong magnet is placed inside the battery casing to
the same side as the battery cap handle. The magnet
is for attaching the battery to the battery mount.

Charger
The e-bike is delivered with a charger which is
developed especially for Li-ion batteries used for
e-bikes. The charger has a LED light indicator, which
turns from red to green when the battery is fully
loaded.
Do not use another type of charger to charge your
e-bike battery, even if the plug fits.

Attaching the battery
The battery is fixed to the e-bike’s seat post with a
battery mount that has a magnet and a Velcro strap.
This battery mount magnet pairs with the magnet
placed inside the battery casing. To ensure a correct
magnet snap, always align the battery magnet side
(the cap handle side) with the battery mount magnet
when attaching the battery to the e-bike. When
correctly aligned you clearly feel the magnet snap.
Subsequently, you must tightly wrap the black Velcro
strap around the battery and close it firmly to protect
the battery from skipping off if you ride on uneven
surfaces or make sudden turns or stops. We also
recommend that you place the power cable from the
motor between the battery and the Velcro strap to
keep it firmly in place when connected to the battery.
