Dear Customer,
Thank you for the confidence you have shown in purchasing an HERDEGEN Lift Chair. This Chair is factory checked for electrical safety and
functions and has left our factory in a perfect condition. Please read carefully this instruction manual. This applies especially to the assembly
and disassembly phases but also to daily use. Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference. It informs the user and operator about the
convenient handling of the Lift Chair and safe operation.
WARNINGS
This manual is a part of the product, read it carefully before use and keep it for future question. If another person should use the product, please
inform him about this manual.

owner’s manual is compiled from the latest specifications and product information available

the mistakes, defaults or omissions in that manual.
TRANSPORT
Before using your lift chair, make sure your delivery is complete as some components may be individually packaged. If you do not receive a
complete delivery, please contact your authorized provider immediately. Where damage has occurred during transport, either to the packaging or
content, please contact the responsible delivery company. During transport, the chair must be in a low position and the backrest dismounted and
folded flat on the seatplate. It is absolutely forbidden to stack the lift chair.
STORAGE
Don’t store outside and don’t let under the sun, don’t use or store in extreme temperature (above 40°C or 104°F or below 5°C or 41°F), store in a
dry room.
USAGE
The purpose of a lift chair is to gradually lift a person to a standing position using a powered lifting mechanism that pushes the entire chair up from
its base, and so assists the user to move more easily to a standing position. It brings comfort, improves mobility and thus promotes independence.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The chairs are delivered in two parts, the backrest is generally delivered folded on the seatplate. The chairs are delivered with an electrical activator
and a remote control. The chairs are generaly equipped with a side pocket, some models are equipped with various accessories.
ELECTRICAL DESCRIPTION
Your lift chair is equipped with a low voltage DC electrical system that reduces the standard household alternating current of 100V AC - 240V AC
to direct current (24/39V DC). The electrical components include the external transformer, and hand control. Keep these parts free from moisture
at all times.
1. SAFETY INDICATIONS
*Learn how to use the Lift Chair from your specialist.
*Ensure before using the Lift Chair that it is in a perfect condition.
*Ensure that there is enough space available to use the moving elements of the Lift Chair in a proper way. No furniture, window frames should be
in the way.
*Be aware that there are risks of crushing or squeezing the patient‘s limbs. Thus, you will avoid severe injuries.
*Do not sit or stand on the footrest.
*Do not “drop” into the lift chair when sitting if it is in a partially raised position.
*Do not place objects:
1/ under the lift chair. Make sure the area is clear of obstructions, including pets and small children, during operation.
2/ under the footrest when the lift chair is in fully reclined position. Make sure the area is clear of obstructions, including pets and small children,

*Always leave the lift chair in an upright and closed position when not in use.
*Do not cover or place the external transformer under the chair. Keep in an open, well ventilated area free from foreign material and away from
possible pinch points.
*Make sure that when using external electrical devices such as compressors, lamps..their wires are correctly positionned and don‘t risk to be
crushed, sheared or torn apart when using the moving parts of the Lift Chair.
*The Lift Chair shall be connected directly to the electrical power. Do not use electrical outlets and extension cords.
*Don‘t place several electrical outlets under the Lift Chair, as leaking liquids can be a fire hazard.
