Walking aids are used for two purposes: as part of a rehabilitation programme
when the user is recovering from an injury or operation and as a long-term aid
to mobility when the user has a permanent difficulty with walking.
These devices help in maintaining balance, aid in the prevention of injuries
(particularly falls), and allow the person to attend to his/her errands
independently. Mobility aids can be used indoor or outdoor, depending on the
model.
Mobility aids are used to modify the weight redistribution: some of the weight
carried through the legs when walking is transferred through the arms of the
frame or stick as it is leant on for support.
Indications
- Loss of autonomy due to walking disorders
- Balance and/or posture disorders
- Walking problems
- Rehabilitation programme after an injury or an operation
Contraindication
Don‘t use in case of:
- Severe cognitive disorder - Severe loss of balance - Severe motor or
perception disorders - Weakness in the upper limbs
Only specialists can adjust the product and teach you how to use it. A wrong
use or adjustment could lead to overstress of the device or of the patient.
The device must be adjusted individually by the technical staff to suit your
needs. Ask the technical staff how to use this product and make sure that you
understood clearly their explanation. In case of doubt, don’t hesitate to ask
again.

Height Adjustment : For height adjustment, loose locking ring, grip stick shaft
with one hand whilst pushing the metal locking pin down with the other hand so
the locking pin retracts fully into the shaft. Select required height by adjusting
the top section of the shaft in an upwards or downwards motion and release
the metal locking pin in front of the required hole position and tighten locking
ring. The sticks have 1 adjusting hole on the outside pipe and 10 holes on the
inside pipe, what means 10 adjusting positions.
The stick can be adjusted every 2 cm.

For height adjustment, loose locking ring, grip stick shaft with one hand whilst
pushing the metal locking pin down with the other hand so the locking pin
retracts fully into the shaft. Select required height by adjusting the top section
of the shaft in an upwards or downwards motion and release the metal locking
pin in front of the required hole position and tighten locking ring. Prior to use
always ensure that the locking pin fully protrudes from the selected hole
position and by applying downward pressure on the handle of the walking stick
test that the walking stick has been assembled correctly.
The stick folds in 4 elements. Prior to use always ensure that the locking ring
is tightly secured in place and that, following height adjustment of the stick, the
metal locking pin is always fully engaged in the selected hole position.
To unfold, release one tube at a time, guide them onto the handle tube until all
tubes are connected together. Check that all tubes are seated in place.
To fold, pull the bottom two tubes apart and fold onto each other. Repeat this
operation with the remaining tubes. Place into the bag when folded.

Both sticks are equipped with an integrated lamp (no batteries delivered with
the product) and extra large tips for a better stability.

3. Cleaning
The stick has to be cleaned regularly with a mild cleaning agent and a soft
cloth. NEVER use OILY substances!! Slip hazard!!
Ask your retailer or the technical staff to check the walking aid regularly.
The rubber tips must be checked and changed regularly.
4. Materials
Tube in anodised aluminium and polypropylen handle.
5. Disposal
Dispose of this product in accordance with your regional waste disposal
regulations.
6. Technical specifications
Check the table at the top of the user’s manual.
This product has a 24 months warranty, from the date of purchase, against
any manufacturing defect. Standards: DIN-EN-12182: 1999, EN-ISO 11334-1,
DIN-EN-ISO 10993-1. Biocompatible. Duration of use: 2 years.

Benutzung und Pflege einweisen.

Vorsicht: nicht im Auto lassen bei hohen Temperaturen!

Nicht bei extremen Temperaturen benutzen (> 38°C / 100°F oder < 0°C
/ 32°F).

Alle mechanischen Teile regelmäßig überprüfen (Schrauben, Rohre,
Griffe...).

Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig, ob alle Verschraubungen fest angezogen
sind.

Bei der Benutzung halten Sie den Griff fest.

Bei Stürzung, lassen Sie möglichst die Gehhilfe seitlich fallen, damit Sie
nicht darauf fallen.

Machen Sie bei der Benutzung kleine Schritte, so dass die Verteilung
Ihres Körpergewichtes gleichmäßig erfolgt.

Benutzen Sie nicht das Produkt auf rutschigen Flächen (Eis, Schnee,
Wasser...)! RUTSCHGEFAHR!

Nicht auf der Treppe benutzen!

Nicht benutzen für andere Zwecke als eine Gehhilfe: z.B. keine Möbel
versetzen oder heben!

Respektieren Sie das Maximalgewicht.
♥
Es dürfen keine Veränderungen auf dem Produkt vorgenommen werden.
Verwenden Sie nur Originalersatzteile und lassen Sie die Reparatur
durch Fachpersonal realisiert.

Hängen Sie nichts an Ihre Gehhilfe.
♥
Wenn Sie Ihre Gehhilfe lange nicht mehr verwendet haben, lassen Sie
die erst von Fachpersonal geprüft werden.

Beim Gehen achten Sie auf Löcher, Unebenheiten des Bodens und
Baumschutzgitter: Sturzgefahr!

Die Kappe soll nicht zu viel abgenutzt werden. Wenn eine sichtbare
Erschöpfung erscheint, wenden Sie sich an Ihren spezialisierten
Fachhändler oder an das medizinische Personal, damit sie die Kappe
ersetzen können.

Seien Sie äußerst vorsichtig auf einem angefeuchteten oder
eingefrorenen Boden; ebenfalls sind die feuchten Fliesenbeläge sehr
gefährlich.

Alle im Zusammenhang mit dem Produkt aufgetretenen
schwerwiegenden Vorfälle sind dem Hersteller und der zuständigen
Behörde des Mitgliedstaats, in dem der Anwender und/oder der Patient
niedergelassen ist, zu melden.
2. Zweckbestimmung, Indikationen und Kontraindikationen
Zweckbestimmung:
Gehhilfen werden für zwei Zwecke verwendet: als Teil eines
Rehabilitationsprogramms, wenn sich der Benutzer von einer Verletzung
oder Operation erholt, und als langfristige Hilfe für die Mobilität,
wenn der Benutzer dauerhafte Schwierigkeiten beim Gehen hat.
Diese Produkte helfen bei der Aufrechterhaltung des Gleichgewichts, bei der
Verhinderung von Verletzungen (insbesondere Sturzrisiken) und ermöglichen
es dem Patienten, seine Besorgungen unabhängig zu erledigen. Mobilitätshilfen
können je nach Modell im Innen- oder Außenbereich eingesetzt werden.
Mobilitätshilfen werden verwendet, um die Gewichtsverteilung zu ändern:
Ein Teil des Gewichts, das beim Gehen durch die Beine getragen wird, wird
durch die Arme des Rahmens bzw. des Stocks übertragen, wenn es zur
Unterstützung angelehnt wird.
Indikationen:
Beeinträchtigung der Mobilität bei Schädigungen der Bewegung/des
Gleichgewichts bei ausreichend erhaltener Gehfähigkeit und Koordination zur
Erhaltung/Förderung/Sicherung des Gehens bzw. zur teilweisen Entlastung.
Indikationen für Stöcke mit anatomischem Handgriff:
Gehbehinderung durch Einschränkungen des aktiven oder passiven
Bewegungsapparates und/oder Koordinationsschwierigkeiten
in der Laufphase. Anatomische Handgriffe sind angezeigt bei einer der
vorstehenden Behinderung in Verbindung mit Arthrosen im Handgelenk,
Belastungsbeschwerden in der Handfläche bei der Benutzung normaler
Handstöcke und/oder der Notwendigkeit, mit zwei Stöcken laufen zu müssen.
