The creation of a new examination starts with the following dialog box:
Choose "Heidelberg Retina Angiograph 2 (HRA 2)" as acquisition device.
After that, the following dialog will appear:
If you want, you can enter the eye parameters for both eyes. Only the cornea curvature will be of
importance, because it will affect the measurement of distances and areas.
5.2.3 Touch Panel Settings and Patient Alignment
(1) The touch panel can now be used to control the image acquisition (see Chapter 4.2.1 “Touch
Panel”). Usually, the following baseline settings for the touch panel are used.
•
Select the infrared reflection acquisition mode (press the 'IR' button)
•
Set scan angle to 30 degrees (using the 'scan size' button)
(2) Ask the patient to position their head and chin firmly against the headrest and chin rest. The
height of the chin rest should be adjusted so that the eye being examined is located at the
height of the red mark on the headrest. Ask the patient to look straight ahead or to stare at the
fixation target with the eye that is not being examined.
