POOL WATER TEMPERATURE PROBLEMS :
Pool water temperature too low :
If the pool water temperature is too low, check that :
-
The
‘POOL WATER CUT-OUT’ red neon is not lit.
If it is see
‘POOL WATER CUT-OUT’ above.
-
The
‘SYSTEM CUT-OUT’ red neon is not lit.
If it is see
‘SYSTEM CUT-OUT’ above.
-
The green
‘HEATING’ neon is lit.
If it is not, increase the control setting temperature.
If the control setting temperature is set very high and the green neon remains off, then this may indicate
a faulty thermostat. Contact Heatstar for advice.
-
The Heatstar unit and the pool filtration pumps are not on time clocks.
-
The pool or the pool filtration pipe work are not leaking
– switch off any automatic pool top-up.
Please note :
To heat up water takes a lot heat and a lot of time and a typical swimming pool contains many thousand gallons
of water.
The temperature of the heated pool water coming back into the pool will not necessarily feel any warmer. This is
because the pool water will only be increased very slightly in temperature on every re-circulation through the
filtration pipe work and the Heatstar unit and is quite normal.
At the start of the season, if the weather is cold, then the heat output available from the heat pump will be
limited.
