Placing the Ember Material

Two separate bags of ember material are shipped with this
gas appliance. The bag labeled Glowing Ember (050-721)
is standard glowing ember material. To place the ember
material:

Remove the glass door from the unit.

Place a dime size piece of

GLOWING EMBER

 mate-

rial near port holes in burner top (see Figure 12).

Space dime size ember pieces about a 1/2 inch apart.
Never press embers into burner ports.

DO NOT

 cover

burner ports. Place dime size pieces around front and
sides of burner pan.

Save the remaining ember materials for use during fire-
place servicing. The embers provided are sufficient for 2
to 4 applications.

Place

MYSTIC EMBERS

 over burner surface and around

base of the burner,

DO NOT

 cover any burner port holes.

Can be used on floor of firebox for a realistic ash-bed.

Replace the glass door on the fireplace.

Re-install and latch the decorative front.

Removing the Glass

Open access panels located on either side of the glass
door. Pull and release attachment latches at left of glass
door out and away from fireplace. To reinstall glass, hook
right side tabs behind attachment brackets (right), swing
glass door into position, and secure by latching the tabs
on left side (see Figure 11).

Positioning the Logs

The logs have been packaged separately. Refer to the
installation instructions that accompany this manual.

 Save

the log instructions with this manual.

If sooting occurs, the logs might need to be repositioned
slightly to avoid excessive flame impingement.
