3. If the temperature of the storage area differs greatly from that of the
measuring area, please wait 30 minutes for the thermometer and room
temperature to equalize before measuring.
4. Open the battery cover and remove the insulating plastic from the battery
compartment. The thermometer should turn on automatically.

CAUTION: In Standby Mode, the LCD display will show the
environment temperature along with the current date and time.
Setting The Time And Date
NOTE: When using this thermometer for the first time, or after replacing the
batteries, you will need to reset the time and date.
1. If installing batteries for the first time, skip to step 2. Otherwise, follow this
step if resetting the date/time. With the thermometer OFF, press and hold the
POWER button for 3 seconds to enter into the setup mode.
2. First, select between a 12hr or 24hr format. Press the SCAN button to switch
between formats. Once the desired
format is chosen, press the POWER
button to confirm.
3. The hour followed by the minute will be
begin to flash, Fig 1.
4. Scroll through the numbers by pressing
SCAN button. Confirm the desired time by pressing the POWER button.
5. The year followed by the month and day will begin to flash.
6. Repeat step #4 to set the date. After setting the day, the thermometer will
automatically turn OFF.
