Using PT/PR-150C Modules in an E1
Multiplexer
7.3.1
Recommended Settings
When using a PT-150C or PR-150C in an E1 multiplexer, use the following
settings whenever possible:
•
set coding to 16 bit
•
set Auto Sync off
•
set the multiplexer line code to HDB3
7.3.2
Stereo Operation
When using a PT-150C or PR-150C for monaural operation in an Intraplex
ACS-260 Series multiplexer, you may select any available time slot (other than
time slot 0, and in CAS mode, time slot 16). However, when using the modules
for stereo operation, only certain time slots can be used. Table 7-1 and Table 7-2
on page 7-4 list the acceptable time slot groupings for 15 kHz and 7.5 kHz
operations respectively.
