THE SWING-AWAY ADAPTER
The swing-away adapter allows the lift system to
move away from the vehicle to permit easier access
to vehicle.
To operate swing-away adapter:
1. Remove the safety pin
2. If equipped, place the safety pin in the pin holder.
See figure 17.
3. Lift up the latch to release.
4. Move lift system away from vehicle.
To secure swing-away adapter:
1. Move lift system toward the vehicle.
2. Align swing-away adapter over receiver and latch
as shown in figure 19.
3. Reinstall the safety pin
WARNING! Do not operate the swing-away lift
assembly while the mobility device is on the
exterior lift, or when the platform is in the lowered
position. Do not open the exterior lift into traffic.
Do not operate the exterior lift against an incline.
Ensure all hardware is secure.
WARNING! Ensure the safety pin is engaged prior
to using lift system or driving the vehicle.
