Unpacking the
appliance

Improper handling of the ap-

Do not use sharp objects to
unpack the appliance.
1. Unpack the appliance.
2. Carefully remove all parts of
the packaging, plastic profiles,
tape and foam padding.
Choose a suitable
location
• Position the appliance on a
solid, level, non-sensitive sur-
face.
• Do not position the appliance
under an overhead cupboard.
• Position the appliance in such
a way that there is enough
space above it to open the lid.
• Do not place the appliance
directly on or next to a stove or
any other heat source.
• Set up the appliance in such a
way that it is out of the reach
of children.

Always throw away the
fi rst batch of boiled water
from a new kettle for hy-
giene reasons.

During fi rst use, after de-
calcifi cation and after hav-
ing not used the appliance
for a prolonged period of
time, fi ll the water tank
completely, heat it up and
throw the water away.
